Only in Tucson, AZ at the U of A

Bizarre DUI Arrests For February, 2009

Partially Undressed Driver Passed Out At Green Traffic Light

In Tucson, Ariz., police found a young woman passed out behind the wheel of a running car stopped at a green light. When an officer approached the car, he noticed the woman's dress was pulled up above her waist and her underwear was pulled down.

The Daily Wildcat (my college news paper) reported the officer knocked on the window in an attempt to wake the woman, and when unsuccessful he opened the door of the car and shook the woman's arm. The officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol when he opened the car door. A mostly empty bottle of rum was also seen inside the vehicle.

The woman awoke after about two minutes and was asked to pull up her underwear and pull down her dress. As she was adjusting her clothing, the car rolled forward. The officer reached inside the car and put it into park. After the car was stopped, the woman reportedly asked the officer what the problem was.

Upon questioning, the woman is said to have admitted that she had been drinking, but refused to take a field sobriety test. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI and taken to the University of Arizona Police Department station for a breathalyzer test. She registered blood alcohol content readings of .19 and .17 and was charged with DUI-Impaired to the slightest degree, DUI-BAC greater than .08, Extreme DUI-BAC greater than .15, minor under 21 operating a vehicle with liquor in the body and obstructing traffic.

Introducing Erin Wasson

The first time I saw this beauty was at ASR on a huge billboard in San Diego. I couldn't stop staring at her, she just fixated my attention. And I am sure she will get yours, as she has been recieving the worlds attention and is soon to be, if not already, America's leading model and muse. Later that day, I was reading Vice Mag, and there she was again, for an interview about her new fashion line. I was like, woah, this chic is really in the mix. Then yesterday, I realized she is the newest additon to Victoria's Secret. I am almost positive that Erin Wasson will soon surpass Marissa Miller, which is a huge statement, but she just ins't another pretty face, she is a talented fashion designer, and serves as a muse, something that not all models can accomplish. She is the new face of RVCA Clothing and is colloborating with PM Tenore on her own line, who I am sure is fucking exctatic. She is the ultimate hipster chica. Check her out. She is definetly something to look at, and she totally inspires me.

snkr frkr x crsvr

I was going through old old (and i mean old) cds this morning and loaded some onto my itunes. I loaded up some illmatic and was instantly brought back to the days of boys, blunts, and my all time fav class of sneaker the nike air max ('95 to '97). I started to cruise the net for pics of my old friends and of course I ended up on my fav sneaker site sneakerfreaker.com. I came across this online sneaker mag about a year ago, and since that time they have really stepped their game up. It's by far the most comprehensive sneaker site out there and they make easy to locate most if not all the sneakers featured on the site. Here is my current fantasy item...it's from a recent collection of nike "hybrids" released over the past year. This sneaker is what I imagine a hybrid of street's disciple and kayla would look like in the physical form. Now can we expect a real life collabo between my two favorite militants...a girl can only dream.

SNEAKER FREAKER SKATE SHOES

Here are some other highlights from the sneaker freaker features. This one is from the article about the history of skate shoes. With recent attention being brought the history of the skate industry, this is specific approach should interest every one of you. Because you know you've owned at least one pair of vans or airwalks in you lifetime (even I had a pair of sweet burgundy patent airwalks back in the day).

CUSTOM SNEAKER FREAK GUIDE

And here is a snap shot of my favorite article in this issue of sneaker freaker, the customer sneaker guide. That's right a customer sneaker guide with all the steps and instructions to customize your own sneakers. This is moving to the top of my to do list, and I encourage you to do the same. I mean what's a personal brand without your own sneaker? Do work.

Finally, I want to give a some credit to our local sneaker freaker heads at CRSVR. They are definitely holding down in the 805 and they deserve mad respect. I think it's important to support legit local business and this is definitely one of them. They are having there GRAND OPENING (and three month anniversary) this Thursday at Tonic. Join this facebook group to get on the list.
See you there. One.

Nickatina

I apologize for the buttload of vids, but the concert was just so good that I had to share all these with yall. Andre Nickatina is pretty much the best rapper out of The Bay Area right now. Yeah yeah Too $hort and E-40 got it pretty good, but their rhymes aren't nothing compared to Nickatina. He doesn't even need to rap about dumb shit most rappers rap about like gang bangin, because he is so intelligent, he raps about the most random shit. And it is SO FUNNY! He has taken over pretty much all of Mac Dre's fan base after he was shot back in 2005. He is keeping Mac Dre alive on the real. Mad props to Nickatina. Everyone who was there knows this shit was fresh. Check out his new jams on his myspace.
Happy 24th Birthday James Fay!!!

Target Practice

This Saturday, James, Jonathan, and I went up to East Camino Cielo to go pop off some rounds. We toted Rommel (the Dobby in the pic above) with us. Pretty fun stuff. I am working really hard on handling my 9mm semi-automatic Beretta and trying not flinch when I pull the trigger. It is pretty hard. I did get better on this trip though. Going back next Sat with my brother.

That is my baby on the right. It's fucking sexy.
And the GLOCK.....

A Trip To The Powell Archives

Last week, I took a trip to the archives here at Powell. You would be pretty amazed on how many 80's treasures there are here. TONS! We are selling some old school tees from years ago on E-Bay this week. Once I get the link I will post, but I am interested to see how much these things go for. There are some serious collectors in the mix.

allow me to reintroduce myself

This video starts off slow, but follow it through to the end (only 3 min)... It epitomozies what will be the future of fashion. It's cool casual style allow us to see how expertly designed cuts and fabrics can be made into street wearable pieces. It features The Row's '08 holiday collection brought to us by our favorite hobbsters MK&A, known for bringing runway fashions into the streets. The Row leads the way for designers and the art of couture fashion to reintroduce itself to the mass markets of the modern world.

Natalia Fabia*

As if my love for pin-ups and hot chics could not get any worse, I think my passion just bumped up to a new level and reinforced that I am onto something, and that drawing naked woman will be something that artists illustrate and display for the rest of time. It's obvious that this new form of beauty has taken over our era and is a perfect example of how beauty changes over time. And thus every reason for me to continue doing what I do, and nailing away at my defined art style in attempts to create some sort of new character/ archetype or (in realty) a reinterpretation of a pre existing one.

Corey Helford Gallery, 2007

(from the press release) Corey Helford Gallery is proud to present Hooker Safari: A Glamorous Jungle Pageant, a solo exhibition of new works by Los Angeles artist Natalia Fabia. This will be Fabia's first solo show at the Gallery, and her most ambitious exhibition to date.

Hooker Safari marks a new direction in the artist's style and technique, while retaining the seductive and provocative imagery that she is known for. Fabia takes the viewer on an African expedition where glamorous women are the wildlife: a seductress and her panther prepare for the kill, a herd of girls relax in a savanna, and a glamazon perches in her tree. The show will feature twenty oil-on-panel paintings, numerous drawings and an exotic vine installation of entangled chandeliers, flowers, bugs, and glitter. Opening night will also include the debut of Hooker Medallions, limited-edition wearable works of art from Fabia's jewelry line Hookerfeathers. Also, heightening the atmosphere of safari and celebration will be the appearance of "Charon Nogues and Her Beasts of Burden", featuring ten Los Angeles models who will be dressed in a collection of custom, sexy animalesque costumes designed by stylist Charon Nogues.
